Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Fond Travels in Canada!

Our website is designed to assist our customers in obtaining information about travel-related products and services, making legitimate reservations, and conducting business with travel suppliers. Before using our website for any transactions, please carefully read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to modify these terms, and your use of the website implies agreement with any modifications.

A. General Disclaimer

Fond Travels is an IATA-accredited travel agency based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We arrange flights and coordinate related travel services with third-party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, car-rental companies and vacation-package operators. Unless stated otherwise, the prices we quote are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include our service fees and applicable taxes. We take care to keep the information on this website accurate, but we cannot warrant that it is always complete or error-free, and we are not liable for the non-delivery of travel products or services by a third-party supplier.

We do not own, operate or control the airlines, hotels, transport providers or other suppliers whose services we book on your behalf, and we do not guarantee, insure or endorse their services, their financial condition or their performance. Where a supplier fails to deliver a service after payment, that supplier is solely responsible for any refund or remedy. We are not responsible for a supplier's acts or omissions that are beyond our reasonable control, including schedule irregularities, overbooking, rerouting, delays, strikes, mechanical issues, weather events or other force-majeure situations.

Prices, availability, fares, taxes and surcharges can change until a booking is fully paid and confirmed by the supplier. We do not control currency-exchange rates and are not responsible for differences arising from currency conversion on international travel. We do not validate, endorse or guarantee any third-party product or service advertised on this website. Additional terms and conditions imposed by a travel supplier form a separate contract between you and that supplier; please read and accept those terms when you make a reservation.

Business identification: Fond Travels operates as an IATA-accredited Canadian travel agency with its office in Calgary, Alberta. You can reach our team 8 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week, at +1 (587) 287 1191 for questions about these terms or any booking.

Governing law: These Terms & Conditions, and any booking or dispute arising from them, are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada, for any matter that is not resolved directly with us or the relevant supplier.

Currency and taxes: All fares and packages are transacted in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Quoted prices include Canadian taxes and fees where indicated; certain supplier taxes, fuel surcharges, resort fees or local charges may be collected separately by the airline, hotel or other supplier. We will show the total price payable to us before you confirm a booking.

Privacy: We collect and use your personal information only to process and service your travel bookings, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.

B. Use of Our Website

To transact with us you must be at least 18 years of age (the age of majority in Alberta), legally able to enter into a binding contract, and you must provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for the traveller and payment details you submit, and for keeping your booking and account information confidential.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. Any misuse, or any suspicious, abusive or fraudulent activity, may result in the suspension of your access, the cancellation of a reservation, and — where we suffer a loss — recovery of that loss, including reasonable damages and legal costs. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel a booking at our discretion in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

C. Travel Supplier Rules and Restrictions

Additional rules, restrictions and fees apply to the travel products you buy through us and are set by the travel supplier. Please read them carefully — for flights, review the operating airline's conditions of carriage and fare rules on the airline's own website. Airfares are only guaranteed once the booking is paid in full and ticketed; suppliers may change prices or availability until that point, and late or incomplete payment can lead to cancellation.

Some itineraries may be issued as two one-way tickets rather than a single round-trip fare. Each one-way ticket carries its own rules, restrictions and fees. If an airline changes or cancels a flight, any fees to adjust the remaining, unaffected flights are the traveller's responsibility.

Failing to comply with a supplier's rules and restrictions may result in cancellation of the reservation, denial of access to our services, forfeiture of amounts paid, and recovery from you of any related costs we incur.

D. Our Booking Process

When you book with us, we act as an intermediary and reserve the right to accept or decline your request on behalf of the travel supplier. An email acknowledgement confirms that we have received your request; it does not by itself create a confirmed contract. A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received and the supplier has confirmed availability, price and details. We may permit changes or cancellations at our discretion in line with these Terms & Conditions.

We are not responsible if you are denied boarding, delayed, removed or refused entry because of non-compliance with a supplier's rules or with government, immigration or health requirements. In those circumstances no refund is allotted. It is your responsibility to hold valid travel documents (passport, visas, transit permits and any required health documentation) for your entire itinerary.

All passengers on a single booking must travel together; travellers cannot be individually added to or removed from a confirmed booking. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in an advertised price and, before departure, to offer you the choice of cancelling or paying the corrected price difference.

The underlying travel service is provided by the supplier. Frequent-flyer points, miles and loyalty benefits must be verified directly with the relevant supplier. Once a booking is confirmed and a ticket is issued, traveller names and destinations generally cannot be changed.

E. Pricing, Taxes/Fees, and Payment

Quoted prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes and our service fees where indicated. Certain fuel surcharges, resort fees or service charges may be levied separately by the travel supplier, in some cases at check-in. For questions about supplier-imposed charges, please contact the supplier directly.

We accept major credit cards with a verifiable billing address, and full payment is required at the time of booking. You confirm that the payment details you provide are accurate and authorized. Prices, offers and conditions may change without notice. If a payment is declined, we will notify you by email, typically within 72 hours, and the booking will not proceed. If a fare changes before we confirm your booking, you may cancel without charge or service fee.

F. Our Fees and Exceptions

In addition to supplier costs, we charge a service fee for arranging your travel. Our service fees are generally non-refundable and apply per passenger, per ticket. Indicative maximums are shown below; the exact fee is disclosed to you before you confirm a booking.

  • Fond Travels booking fee (online or over the phone):Up to C$200* per passenger, per ticket for Canadian domestic and international flights.

Fond Travels post-ticketing fees:

  • Within 24 hours of booking:Up to C$100* per passenger, per ticket for Canadian domestic and international flights.
  • Beyond 24 hours of booking:Up to C$200* per passenger, per ticket for Canadian domestic and international flights.

*Fees are indicative maximums in Canadian Dollars and are confirmed before booking. Changes to purchased flights are subject to the airline's fare rules. Fond Travels does not guarantee, and is not responsible for, reservations altered by a travel supplier at your request or because of a schedule change.

G. Cancellations & Exchange

Most of our airline tickets are non-refundable. Where an airline permits a cancellation, it is usually offered on a case-by-case basis as a credit toward a future ticket on the same airline, which must be used before it expires. Eligible cancellations must be requested by phone with our customer-service team before the scheduled departure. We do not guarantee that a cancellation will be accepted. Rebooking with an airline credit may require payment of any fare difference, airline penalties and applicable Fond Travels post-ticketing fees. Ticket changes are governed by the airline's fare rules and policies, which are beyond our control.

H. Cancellations & Refund

After 24 hours from booking, most flight tickets, vacation packages, prepaid car rentals, hotels and service fees are non-refundable. Where a fare rule allows a refund and a waiver is obtained from the supplier, we will process the request; refunds depend on the supplier and can take time to complete. Suppliers may apply refund penalties, and Fond Travels charges its applicable post-ticketing service fees.

Please note: we are not responsible for flight changes that are beyond our control and are governed by the airline's fare rules and policies. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

I. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that every traveller purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Suitable coverage should include, at minimum, trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical and hospital expenses, baggage, and travel-supplier default. Provincial health plans provide little or no coverage outside Canada, and out-of-country medical costs can be significant.

Fond Travels can help arrange suitable coverage on request. If you choose to travel without insurance, you do so at your own risk and accept full responsibility for any losses that insurance would otherwise have covered.

J. Health, Fitness to Travel & Special Assistance

You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit to travel and for meeting the health requirements of every country on your itinerary, including any recommended or required vaccinations. If you have a medical condition, reduced mobility, or any special requirement — such as wheelchair assistance, dietary needs or specific seating — please tell us when you book so we can pass the request to the relevant supplier.

Special requests are forwarded to the supplier but cannot be guaranteed unless the supplier confirms them. We are not responsible for a supplier's inability to meet a special request.

K. Travel Documents & Government Advisories

You are responsible for holding valid travel documents for your entire trip — a passport valid for the period required by each destination and any transit point, together with all necessary visas, transit permits and entry documents. Requirements often differ for non-Canadian passport holders; please verify them with the consulate of each country you will visit or transit.

Before you travel, we recommend reviewing the Government of Canada's official travel advice and advisories at travel.gc.ca. Fond Travels is not responsible for any loss, denied boarding or refused entry that results from missing, incorrect or expired documents.

L. Complaints & Contacting Us

If a problem arises during your trip, please raise it immediately with the supplier on the spot (for example the airline, hotel or transfer provider) so they have the opportunity to put it right, and contact us as soon as you can. If you wish to make a complaint after you return, please contact us in writing within a reasonable time so we can look into it with the supplier.

You can reach our Calgary-based team at +1 (587) 287 1191, or through the contact details on our website, from 8 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week.

M. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, supplier requirements or applicable law. The version posted on this website at the time you make a booking governs that booking. Your continued use of our website and services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
