  • Days 4–6 Kyoto: Fushimi Inari's torii gates, Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama bamboo grove, plus Nara's deer park.
  • Days 7–8 Osaka: Osaka Castle, Dotonbori street food, day trip to Hiroshima or Himeji.
  • Day 9: Depart.

Best time & good to know

Late March–April (cherry blossoms) and October–November (autumn colours) are the most spectacular; book early. Canadian passport holders are visa-exempt for tourist stays in Japan. Flights from Canada connect once via Asia or are non-stop from Vancouver/Toronto on select carriers (about 10–13 hours).
